About Sara

Hello! I’m Sara McDougall. First and foremost –  thank you for visiting my site.  I am a wife, and a mom of an adorable boy. My family is my inspiration. I have always loved toting my camera with me wherever I go. For me photographs capture moments in time which communicate memories.

It can be hard to get a feel for a person via the internet but I hope that you can follow me on my journey through this site, my pictures, and my experiences to get an idea of who I am. To give you a sneak peak — I enjoy a good book, card games, soccer, a comfy pair of shoes, and I could eat breakfast every single meal of the day.

The path I’ve taken to get to this point has been inspired by family, friends, and a specific co-worker who encouraged the idea. I have always found joy in taking pictures. Photographs allow me to surround myself with all the people and places that make me happy.

Sara McDougall Photography is my way of sharing my joy with others.  I am an on location, natural light photographer based in Seattle, Washington and I will to travel to the surrounding areas. Being self taught, I am guided by a passion and desire to capture people in their comfort zone. A sly smile, the way a child’s eyes can light up, or a moment of laughter which makes your cheeks hurt! My mission is to provide quality family photography at an affordable price.
