The Beach
As the weather here in Seattle has gotten a little rainy I found this image which brought a smile. Oh the beach…
Notting Hill
We were really looking forward to strolling around with the kids through different parts of London. Something about taking in a city just by walking and observing really appeals to me. But with a five and a three year old you never really know how that is going to work. Our thought was that if we had plenty of food options and allowed them to be silly, curious and hyper kids when the opportunity presented itself then we could make it through outing. And, I am happy to report that it was a success. Here is a taste of our day strolling through Notting Hill. Enjoy!
quiet moment
My kids are pretty close to done with school for the year and we’ve got a busy summer planned. It was great to be able to capture them having a quiet moment before our summer fun begins…
Happy Kids
This session was completely wonderful. Two kids bounding out of the car, getting greeted with a “hey Sara!”, and then disappointment when they realized we were done with pictures. These guys enjoyed suggesting places for pictures, telling me which poses they wanted and then at the end I let them have my camera so they could take pictures of each other. Watching kids get excited about taking pictures is fantastic and the beauty of them being able to see the picture they just took instantly is so great. They got so excited and were so proud that they did it. It was a great time. Enjoy!
A little sister
A few months ago our dear friends welcomed a daughter. And a few months after that a little sister arrived. So wonderful… so incredibly wonderful. I could not be filled with more joy for this family. Enjoy!
Low Tide
Warm sun, a nice breeze, and a really low tide provided for tons of entertainment. We had a blast exploring the shore with the kids chasing crabs, and searching for star fish.
Goofing around
A play circus tent and a cookie monster costume. Capturing the fun while goofing around.
The slide
Our little girl loves all slides. The bigger the better. It makes me completely nervous sometimes but she loves it!
Enjoying the park
I thoroughly enjoy getting to take pictures of families multiple times. See prior session here. Seeing kids grow over time is so wonderful and entertaining. Personalities begin to emerge, hair styles change, etc. Before we met at their home, this time we ventured out to a local park. Had a great time connecting again. Enjoy!
Two years
Oh man, I love that I have been able to capture images of this girl since she was just a baby. She is definitely growing up and coming in to her personality and spunk! This time I had the chance to sit in the grass, let dad take the camera for a bit, and be silly with her. It was a great time. Thanks gang! Enjoy!
Bow-tie
Looking through some images and I couldn’t help sharing. My son and his first bow-tie. *sigh* melts this mommas heart – so dapper.
Camping
As a family we ventured out on our first camping trip as a family of four. Lucky for us we have a wonderful friend who has a family farm and they welcomed us for this adventure. It was a great time – another family with four boys joined in on the fun so our son was in heaven. We got to feed the cows, climb hay, walk through mud and enjoy s’mores. Loved it… enjoy!
Playing in the dirt
One of the things I love about taking pictures, especially of kids, you never really know what will happen. Some kids will give you their cheesiest smile all the time, some will barely glance at you and some kids will act as though you aren’t even there. I think the last is my favorite. During one of the rare sunny days we in Seattle have enjoyed I met with this fantastic family at Discovery Park. Kids happily playing in the dirt and grass. Enjoy!
